Obituary

Helen V. Lundberg, 99, a longtime resident of Superior passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Twin Ports Health in Superior, WI.

Helen was born August 29, 1926, to Anne (O’Sacho) and Stanley Oleas in Superior, WI.

She was a homemaker caring for her family and home until they were grown and then was employed as a customer service agent for Sears. Helen was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Elks Club.

She enjoyed golfing, bike riding, snowmobiling, but she was most passionate about music and dancing. Helen loved to spend time with her family at the cabin in the summers. She will be remembered for her kind heart.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl “Bud” Lundberg, and her siblings, Frank, Marie, Olga, and Katherine.

She is survived by her children, Lonny (Kathleen) Lundberg, James (Rita) Lundberg, Jeff (Mary Pince) Lundberg, and Leslie Underdale; her grandchildren, Mary (Addy Larson) Lundberg-Kimmes, Jennifer Lundberg, Michael (Jacquelyn) Lundberg, Lynn (Craig) Plummer, Amy (Robert) Zembo, James J. (Christine) Lundberg, Gina (David) Coleal, Ashley (Eric) Lee, Brett (Rebecca) Underdale; 14 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, her sister, Joanne Haverkampf and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, 5601 Tower Ave., Superior, WI, with Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, followed by a luncheon back in the church basement.

The family of Helen would like to thank the staff at Twin Ports Health for the special care they provided in Helen’s final days.
