After raising three children Helen worked as an accountant for a local accounting firm. She then worked as an independent accountant, serving numerous local businesses for many years.

She was an avid walker and a cross-word enthusiast. Among her many talents were sewing, quilting, and embroidery.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Donald and Harry Johnson; and a sister Dorothy Nater.

Helen will be dearly missed by her sons, Herb (Dinnie) and Tom (Nancy); daughter, Claudia (Steve) Tadevich; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister-in-law, Jean Martinson; as well as additional family and friends.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Tues. July 23 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with visitation at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m. Rev. Will Mowchan will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Golden Living Center in Superior.
