Obituary

Henry "Butch" O. DeMeyer, Jr., 84, of Superior, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Twin Ports Health Services.

Butch was born in Superior on June 12, 1941, the son of Henry and Pauline (Kubala) DeMeyer, Sr.

Butch served his country with the US Army. He owned and operated D&B Janitorial Services for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1499 and had served as vice president. He was a member of the Eagle's Club, Moose Lodge 606, and the YMCA. He was a member and past vice president of the Village Lane Commercial Bowling League and past president of the UWS Touchdown Club.

Butch was an avid Spartan Athletic fan and contributor. He was also an avid Elvis Presley and Green Bay Packer fan and collector of memorabilia. He was a collector car enthusiast and enjoyed driving his 1975 Chevy Convertible and riding Harley's. He also enjoyed listening to music and detailing cars. Butch loved watching his grandchildren's sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald (Pat) DeMeyer; and sister, Patricia (Gary) Cotton.

Butch is survived by his sons, Robert "Bob" (Traci) DeMeyer and Cory (Maryann) Bonneville; daughters, Sarah (Bryan) Denninger, Keri (Dan) Nelson, and Heidi Bonneville; grandchildren, Abbie (Beau) Reder, Lanie and Sydnie DeMeyer, Hanna, Luke, and Ava Denninger, Jazmine, Ivy, and Presley Bonneville, and Marquis and Chanel Oates; great-grandson, Briggs; sister, Mary Ann Fair; girlfriend, Sandra McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th from 10:00 until the 11:00 funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St., with Fr. Andrew P. Ricci as officiant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Jim Hogan, Terry Bishop, Dan Connolly, Richard "Ike" Eisenmann, A.J. Demeyer, Pat Moon, Jerry Lozon, and Al Butterworth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spartan Athletic Department, 2600 Catlin Ave. Superior.
