Ina E.
Falk
April 2, 1918 – July 22, 2022
Ina E. Falk, age 104, went to be with our Lord on July 22, 2022. She was a beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend to many. Ina was born in Brady, Montana to Albin and Ida Falk. She grew up in Maple, WI.
Ina taught 1 st and 2 nd grades in Duluth, MN for most of her career. She retired in Lake Nebagamon, WI. Her favorite hobbies included traveling the U.S. and abroad, reading and quilting. Forever the teacher, even in retirement, she continued to tutor students that needed additional help. She was also very active in the local churches and community. Ina gave credit to her long and fulfilled life to her faith, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; six siblings and their spouses; Dale Falk, Leroy (Hilda) Falk, Anna (Harold) Johnson, Ruby (Tauno) Keveri, Gladys Falk, and Florence (Bud) Maupin; brother-in-law, Gene Karich; and nephews, Roger Falk, David Falk, and Kenneth Falk.
She will be greatly missed by her sister, Clara Karich of Lake Nebagamon, WI; nieces and nephews, Clarence Falk, Shirley Eklof, Dolores Raspiller, Kathy Kellogg, Bonnie Bruce, Doug Johnson, Arlene Kelley, Rodney Keveri, Devona Jensen, Janine Bowers, Linda Blust, Steve Karich, Jim Karich, Kathy Hickerson, and their families. She will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know her.
A special thank you to great niece, Carly Karich Hall, for her daily communication and loving care for Ina.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Friday, August 26, 2022, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 th St, Superior. Rev. Darrell Kyle will officiate.
The committal service will be at Poplar Cemetery, Poplar, Wisconsin.
Ina's family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at New Perspective Senior Living, Superior, WI for the exceptional care and compassion provided to Ina throughout the years she lived there.
Thank you to Essentia Health Hospice for making Ina's last days comfortable.
