Inez Lucille Acker, 105, surrounded by her loving family went to be with the Lord at Golden Living Center on January 22, 2015.

She was born April 19, 1909 to William and May (Porter) Mills in Clark, South Dakota. She married Ora Acker on March 10, 1925. The moved to Hines, WI in 1932 and then Foxboro, WI in 1942 where they farmed until moving to Superior, WI in 1981.

She was a member of the Birthday Club in Foxboro. She also babysat for neighborhood families. After moving to Superior, she enjoyed baking for family and friends. She entered Beverly Rehab, which is now Golden Living Center, and was there for 12 years. Her family thanks the Golden Living personnel for their excellent care for her and her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ora Acker and sons Donald and Fordyce; grandchildren, Warren and Sheila Acker; a great-grandson, Jacob Heitala; her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Inez is survived by one daughter, Maxine (Coral 'Hoot') Phelps of Wrenshall, MN; grandchildren, Wayne Phelps, Kimberly (Marvin) Fralich, Sharon (Walt) Cowan, Steve Acker, Donna Moffet, Fordyce (Shari) Acker, Jr., David (Marilyn) Acker, Robert Acker, Penny (Bill) Heitala and Debbie (Todd) Slater; 12 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jean Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wed. Jan. 28, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at United Presbyterian Church in Superior. Rev. Joel Huenemann will officiate. Interment will be in Summit Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Wayne Phelps, Justin Male, Fordyce 'Buzzy' Acker, David Acker, Robert Acker and Bill Heitala.
