Irene V. Hendrickson, 89, of Superior, died Sunday June 6, 2010 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Irene was born in Superior on December 27, 1920 the daughter of Mary (Larson) and Adolph Schold.
She was a graduate of Superior Central High School and served in the Navy during WWII as a dental hygienist.
Irene worked for Twin Ports Dairy and as an assessor for Douglas County. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing bridge. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Lake Nebagamon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Hendrickson; daughter, Jodell Carlson; step-daughter Cheryl (Chuck McCool) Hendrickson; grandsons, Sean and Devin McCool; and four brothers and sisters.
Irene is survived by her sons, Scott (Robin) Hendrickson of Hopkins, Minn. and Ronald (Susan) Hendrickson of South Range; grandchildren, Ginger (Marcus) Laporte, Jill (Cory) Campbell, David Hendrickson, Kristina (John) Carlson and Marcus and Nola Wick; and a brother Roy Schold of Hammond Indiana.
Her memorial service will be held on Friday, June 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. H. Duane Aslyn will officiate. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
