Irene A. Jacobson's Obituary
Irene A. Jacobson, 101, a longtime resident of Superior, Wis. passed away peacefully on Mon., Oct. 6, 2014, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, Minn.
She was born Sept. 4, 1913 in Chicago, Ill.
Years ago she was employed by Roth Bros. Dept. Store as a seamstress.
Irene was a longtime member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She had been a former member of the Superior Women's Golf Club and also the Superior Women's Figure Skating Club.
She enjoyed riding her bike, knitting and especially gardening.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Elmer died in 1978; and a sister, Lucille Hudson.
Irene is survived by two nephews, Frank Hudson of Sointula, British Columbia and Stephen Hudson of Danville, Calif.; two nieces, Mary Cameron of Hawaii and Evelyn Reinkall of Superior; and a longtime friend, Doris Lindberg.
Her memorial service will be in Pilgrim Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10th with Rev. Will Mowchan officiating. Inurnment will take place at Oneota Cemetery, Duluth.
Downs Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
