Obituary

Irene A. Minter, 99, of Bimson, MN and formerly of Superior, died Tuesday August 25, 2026, at Open Arms Assisted Living in Duluth.

Irene was born at home on June 14, 1927, in Glen Flora, WI the daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Young) Krisik.

She married Robert P. Minter on November 9, 1946, they had seven children and celebrated 46 years of marriage until his death in 1993.

Irene was a member of Cathedral Church. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, watching the birds, and being around her large family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Edward Minter; granddaughter, Christie Minter; son-in-law, James Coda; and six siblings.

Irene is survived by her children, Gary (Del Marie) Minter, Robert (Ann Marie) Minter, Wayne (Jacki) Minter, Ronald (Ellen) Minter, Diane (Mark) Hubbard, and Janice Coda; daughter-in-law, Annette Minter; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Phillips and Kathleen Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church, 1111 Belknap St., Superior, with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
