Irene Margaret (Arneson) Oliver, 85, passed away on December 21, 2010 in the Lighthouse of Superior surrounded by her family.

Irene was born April 10, 1925 in Superior, Wis. She enjoyed life, family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity of those in need.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Sr. and Margaret Arneson and a brother, Leonard Jr. (Patricia).

Irene is survived by her brothers, Lloyd (Darlene) and Marvin (Marie) Arneson; husband, Kenneth Sr.; sons, Kenneth Jr. (Janet, deceased), Michael (Sharon Johnson), William (Kathy Venaas), Jeffrey (Kelly Murphy); daughters, Sharon Wilson (Robert), Sandra Mackyol (Brian), Deborah Couch (Jeffrey) and Christine Oliver-Kneebone. 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive her.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday in the Downs Funeral Home, 19th & Ogden Ave. and will resume Monday, December 27th at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the 11:00 a.m. Mass Of The Resurrection at The Church Of St. Alban The Martyr with The Rev. Fr. Nick Hill, Rev. Cindy Peterson-Wlosinski and Rev. Steve Wlosinski officiating. Inurnment will be Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
