Irene 'Pat' Putnam, 89, of Superior, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Twin Ports Health Services surrounded by her family.

Pat was born in Grand Forks, ND on Sept. 13, 1932, the daughter of Royal Sloan and Evelyn (Brown) Glonek.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and part of Joy Circle. Later she was a member and volunteer at Faith United Methodist Church.

Pat enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and also traveling to all their sporting events. She was an avid bowler and also enjoyed camping. She always had kids at her house and provided daycare services. She was known for serving pancakes for breakfast every Sunday and would also host Sunday dinners.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Russell Putnam, Jr; father, Royal; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Spike Glonek; and brothers, Robert and Bud Sloan.

Pat is survived by her children, Pam (Tom) Jacobson of Overland Park, KS, LeRoy 'Lee' (Rich Buccella) Putnam of Boston, MA, Shelby (Donald) Hobson of Superior, and Jackie (Brian) Putnam-Kmecik of Superior; grandchildren, Craig Jacobson, Dustin (Erica) Hobson, Garrett Hobson, Jeffrey (Ashley) Kmecik, and Mackenzie, Kobie, and Trevor Kmecik; great-grandchildren, Peydin Jacobson, Gracey and Gavin Kmecik, and one great grandson Hobson on the way; and a brother, Ricky Sloan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday Jan 27 ^th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and continue on Friday from 10:00 until the 11:00 funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St., with Gary Banker as officiant.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and nephew, Daniel Sloan. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
