Iva D. Vandenberg, 94 of Superior, died Friday, December 9, 2022, at Villa Marina Health & Rehab.

Iva was born in Maple Grove Township, WI on July 10, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Viola (Hoscheit). She married Lloyd Vandenberg on June 7, 1947, and they celebrated 69 years of marriage until his death in 2016.

She was a member of the Navy Mothers, past president of the PTA, and a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed crocheting and bowling. Iva took pride in raising her six children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; sons, Thomas and James Vandenberg; daughter, Donna Ashcroft; son-in-law, Russ Bottjer; brother, Henry Tireman; and sister, Dorothy Allen.

Iva is survived by her children, Judy Williams of Hugo, MN, Carol Bottjer of Cornville, AZ, and Larry (Connie) Vandenberg of Superior; daughter-in-law, Kelly Vandenberg; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Rachael Fish; brothers, Richard (Carolyn) Tireman and Dennis (Leann) Tireman; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 17 ^th from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. with Pastor Jason Rhoads as officiant. Private family burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
