Jack W. Fasbender, 84, of Foxboro, Wis. died Mon., September 6, 2010 in St. Mary's Hospital of Superior. He was a longtime area resident.
Jack was born April 24, 1926 to Verna (Bronson) and Gordon Fasbender in Minneapolis, Minn.
He was a self-employed bricklayer and also had worked for various contractors, most recently having been employed with the Van Puymbrouck's. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, the former Elaine Benedickt; two daughters, Cindie (Paul) Olson and Beth Fasbender all of Superior, Wis.; a son, William Fasbender of Foxboro; grandchildren, Skyler Fasbender, Hali (Jordan) Dunphy, and Jordan and Nicole Olson; two brothers, Gerald Fasbender of Superior and Gordon (Barbara) Fasbender of Luck, Wis.; a sister, Barbara (Richard) Anderson of Fontana, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Delores Winans; and an infant sister, Beverly Joan.
His memorial service will be held on Thurs., September 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the Downs Funeral Home, at 19th St. & Ogden Ave., with Rev. Fr. Donald Kania officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The committal prayers will be held at the Summit Cemetery at a later date.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan, Danny, Dennis and David Van Puymbrouck, Jim Sterns, Jim Anderson and Wally Bernard.
