James Emmanual Borgh, 75, of Superior, WI died at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital on Saturday, June 29, 2024, peacefully and in comfort while sleeping. The family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care and compassion they provided James during his time there.

Jim was born in Superior, WI on March 1st, 1949, to Elizabeth (Handeland) and George Borgh.

Jim served his country in the Vietnam war and remained a proud U.S. Marine until the end of his days. He worked as a lead and saw operator at Georgia Pacific for 42 years until he retired.

To know Jim was to love him. A blue collar hard working man, with a heart of gold, he always had a smile and kind word ready for anyone he met. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid gardener.

Jim was the life of the party and enjoyed doing karaoke with his family, which he was amazing at. He loved dancing and showing off his best Elvis moves any chance he got, and he was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his son Victor E. Borgh; his brothers Ted and Gene Borgh; and his nephews Christopher and Joshua Borgh.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Rita Borgh and their fur-baby Jax; his children, Julie Booher, Mandy (Scotty) Borgh-Bilbrey, Rebecca (Mitch) Quigley; his bonus children, Jason (Kate) Johnson, Jamey (Nicole) Johnson, Troy (Jolissa) Johnson, and Shawn Mattison; his grandchildren, Colten Borgh, Austin (Kaitlyn) Booher, Tyler (Anna) Johnson, Alayna Johnson, Wyatt Booher, Payton Craft, Paige Johnson, Kenley Craft, Victor W. Borgh, Cameron Quigley, and Kalvin Johnson. His siblings Anita Stone, Duane (Joan) Borgh, Lloyd (Sue) Borgh, Keith (Patricia) Borgh, Ardis Hafdahl, Audrey Ferrando, and sister-in-law Eileen Borgh; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as a village of loved ones, all of whom will ensure his memory and legacy lives on through them.

All who knew Jim are invited to join his family at his celebration of life: Tuesday, July 9th at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St. Superior, WI, with Tom Miller as officiant. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm, and a burial service immediately following.
