James 'Jimmy' E. Quam, II, 58, of Lake Nebagamon, died peacefully Sunday, November 17, 2019 after battling cancer, at his residence with his wife by his side.
Jimmy was born in Superior on Jan. 18, 1961 the son of Virginia (Pryor) and James Quam, Sr.
He served his country enlisting in the Air Force from 1983 to 1991. He enjoyed being a truck driver for over 32 years and most recently was working his dream job as a cattle hauler.
Jimmy was a member of the American Legion and the Bull Haulers Assoc. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being with his family. He was also a loyal Vikings fan.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler James; step-grandson, Elijah Lane; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Glenda; daughter, Chenoa (Chris) Haralson; step-daughters, Brandi Parks, Katy Parks, and Tadda Edmonston; grandchildren, Bentley and Prius Haralson; step-granddaughter, Laynie Berry; mother, Virginia (Don) Carlson; father, James (Margie) Quam, Sr.; sister, Debbie (Mike) Silva; step-brothers, Rob Miller and Chris Palmer; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 22 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and resume on Saturday Nov. 23, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral Service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th St. Rev. Carol Braun will officiate.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, John Swanson, Dennis Zezulka, Jeff Summers, Shawn Miller, Ryan Miller, and Don Lehto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family.
