James L. Engrebretson, 84, of Superior, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday April 27, 2021.

He was born May 23, 1936, in Webster, WI.

James served his country in the U.S. Navy. He sailed the Great Lakes working for the American Steamship Company and retired as a First Mate.

He enjoyed watching baseball and football, especially the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool. James had a passion for woodworking.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Jeff.

James is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mary; son, James Engebretson, Jr.; and a sister, Ruby Radke.

A Celebration of James' life will be held at a later date.
