James 'Bo' Henry Armstrong, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Duluth. He was only 57 years old.

He was born on December 12, 1965, in Cook County, Illinois, but lived most of his life in the Duluth/Superior area.

Jim was a painter, working with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local #106. He loved his trade and was proud to be a union painter.

If you knew Jimmy, you knew his passion was fishing whenever and wherever he had the chance. He also enjoyed metal detecting, spending time with family and friends, taking his beloved dog Bailey to the dog park, and playing pool and darts leagues.

Jim will be remembered for his good-heartedness, playfulness, humor, laughter and his smile. When he loved, he loved with all of his heart and was a loyal friend to many.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mom, Eleanor (Carruthers) Armstrong; step-dad, Byron Armstrong; his sisters, Lillian Nelson, Linda Neal, and Loretta Fuller; his brothers, LeLand Fuller and Nick Fuller; and the love of his life, Rhianon Betterman.

Survivors include his daughters, Joy (Gordon Eggen) Schaeffer, and Eden Schaeffer; his son, Nickolas Dodson; his sisters, Kim (Shawn Bolf) Evavold-Bolf, Sandra Forrest, and Lori Dalbec; his brothers, Lon Fuller, Lee Fuller and Lyle (Barbie) Fuller; his grandchildren, Nick, Lexie, Nevaeh, Jazzlyn, and Kaelani; many beloved nieces and nephews; and his four-legged best friend, Bailey.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St., Superior, WI. Gary Banker will be the officiant.

A reception will be held at the Eagles Club following the service.
