James D. Ramsey Jr., 66 of Superior, died Monday, March 23, 2020 at his residence.

James was born in Superior on Dec. 14, 1953 the son of Joanne (McCusker) and James Ramsey Sr.

He graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1972. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was also a carpenter and a 'Jack of many trades.'

Junior loved spending time with his daughter, his family and all his loving friends. He loved to sit and share stories, especially while spending time on Amnicon Lake where he grew up and continued to love until his passing. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on race cars, and working on anything friends needed help with. He was always there to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Junior is survived by his daughter, Gina Ramsey of Superior; brothers, Greg (Linda) Ramsey of Superior and Tim Pierce of Bennett; a sister, Debbie Marfa of Newport News, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID19 and the Governor's mandates, a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
