James Clifford Reinkall, 76, of Superior, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2020 at home.

He was born on November 12, 1943 in Superior, the son of Charles and Beverly (Bartley) Reinkall.

James honorably served in the National Guard and was a longtime coach of the South End Dukes.

He was employed by Twin Ports Grocery, Gateway Foods and Fleming Foods, retiring after 30 years of service.

His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and dance.  He was their biggest supporter.   James loved dogs and to hang out with his friends golfing, playing cards, having coffee and being at the YMCA.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Sue Waterman; and sister-in-law, Judy Reinkall.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn, of 53 years; sons, Terrance (Dian) Reinkall, Superior,    Brett (Jill) Reinkall, Inver Grove Heights, MN; daughter, Julie (Doug) Buhr, Poplar, WI; brother, Steve Reinkall, Superior; grandchildren, Alexa, Justin and Ashley Reinkall, Karissa and Ethan Buhr, and Emily and Drew Reinkall.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street, Superior.  Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, and followed with a luncheon at Billings Park Civic Center.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Buhr, Justin Reinkall, Rick Raymond, Turner Gregg, Rick Arnold, and Kevin LaJoie.
