James L. Voyles, 67, of Superior, died Sunday August 24, 2014 at Essentia-St. Mary's in Duluth.
He was born October 15, 1946 in Chicago Ill. to Clyde and June (Emberton) Voyles
James served his country in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. He had been a carpenter for J. Littman Construction Co. He was an avid fisherman and loved his dog Mattie.
James is survived by his wife, Janice; a son, John (Robin) Colleta of Destin, Florida; and a daughter, Donna (Brian) Mrozik of Esko, Minn.; four grandsons, John, Jacob, Wyatt and Trevor; a sister, Barbara (Jim) Sarallo of Barrington, Ill.; his mother and father in-law, Shirley and Jack Boris of Superior; his brother-in-laws, Ken (Cathy) Seifert of Texas, Alan (Rose) Seifert and John (Judy) Seifert both of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 4:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 19th & Ogden with Rev. Mark Holmes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Military honors will be accorded by Richard I Bong post #435 American Legion.
