Janice C. Murray, 73, lifelong Twin Ports resident, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Janice was born in Duluth on April 10, 1940 the daughter of Claude and Mary Fortune. She married Edward Murray on Oct. 21, 1968 in Duluth.

She was a very accomplished musician playing the piano and cello. She was a member of Hope Congregational Church in Superior. She had a very strong faith and love for God and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bud and a sister Ruth.

Janice is survived by her husband, Edward; children, John (Aimee) Murray of Carver, Minn., Shanna Murray of Superior, Mike (Tammy) Murray of Superior and David (Cindy) Murray of Foxboro; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother Donald (Mary) Fortune of Minneapolis; and her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 10a.m. until the 11a.m. funeral service at Hope Congregational Church. Rev. Michael Casperson will officiate. Interment will be in Summit Cemetery in the spring.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs at St. Francis and Villa Marina for their wonderful care.
