Janice I. Pederson, 81, lifelong resident of Superior, died Friday, January 25, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Janice was born on April 19, 1937, the daughter of Elmer and Violet Copiskey. She graduated from Central High School.

She had worked as a meat packager at the CO-OP. She also worked at Gino's Pizza and in the Cafeteria at Bryant School.

Janice enjoyed traveling with her husband, Kenneth, and going camping. She also enjoyed baking and hosting family gatherings. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; great-granddaughter, Jordan Johnson; and brothers, Jimmy and Elmer Copiskey.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Linda (Greg) Ramsey of Amnicon; son, Dale (Sissy) Pederson of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren, Brandi Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Gus Pederson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Severin, Hailey Johnson, Brenden Niesen, Talon Johnson, Jayce Johnson, and Hastiin Johnson.

Visitation will be on Monday, Feb 4, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Rev. Mark Holmes, of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
