Jacqueline "Jackie" A. Smith, 64, died on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in her home.

Jackie was born July 26, 1961, to Florence (Brown) and George Hansen in Superior, WI.

She married Bernard Smith, Jr. on April 19, 1986.  Jackie was employed for many years as a clerk at Lake Superior Laundry and Dry Cleaning for many years and then part-time as a shopper filling on-line orders for Walmart customers. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and spending time with her cats Bob and Lucy.  Jackie looked forward to and loved a long road trip with her husband and going out to eat. She loved a good adult joke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard, Jr.; her son, Bernard, III.; her sister, Donna Sandlin; her brothers, Allen and Chipper Hansen.

Jackie is survived by her son, John Henry Smith; her sister, Sandy Privette; her nephews, Peter, Shaun, and Christopher.

A Celebration of Jackie's Life will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 1710 N 12th Street, Superior.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
