Jean A. Frank, 76, of Superior, died Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth

Jean was born in Superior on January 1, 1947, the daughter of Oscar and Anne (Simark) Anderson. She married L. David Frank on Nov. 14, 1964, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage.

She had worked as a commercial designer for many years and was instrumental in the design of the Diocese of Superior Chancery, Catholic Charities, Challenge Center, and the Superior Douglas County Senior Center.

Jean was a great cook, enjoyed reading, and being the family historian. Family was most important to her and she was a great mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Anderson.

Jean is survived by her husband, David; her children, Deanna Frank of Amnicon Lake, Sandy (Tim) Sanders of Gordon, David Frank of Golf Port, MS, Brian (Kim) Frank of Superior, and Matt (Katie) Frank of Mahtowa, MN; grandchildren, Alissa, Christopher, Adam, Michael, Sara, Brianna, Dylan, Sophia; great-grandchildren, Alexius, Gabryl, Iam, Norah, Bayl, Gaius, and Ryatt; siblings, Rosemary Lear and Joan Burke.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Cathedral of Christ the King Church with Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

Jean always appreciated being surrounded by flowers and bouquets.
