Jean Marie Hulter, 75, of Superior, passed away suddenly on the evening of Friday, September 26, 2016.

She was born October 10, 1938 in Superior, daughter of William and Leona (Bartos) MacInnes.

Jean was a woman of many interests. She was a dedicated chronicler of her family's genealogy, reaching back many generations and across continents. She was a gifted artist expressing herself through rosemaling and folk art. Over the years, Jean kept countless children's heads and hands warm with hats and mittens that she made and donated to area schools and churches. Jean was also an avid stock car racing fan who often volunteered to help out the local racing association.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, Jack MacInnes.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James Hulter; daughters, Lynn Hulter and Susan (Mark) Howard; grandchildren, Leo (Sylwia) Orsoni and Elizabeth and Margaret Howard.

Visitation will be from 11:30 until the 12:30 p.m. service Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Father Andrew Ricci officiating.

Interment will be at Summit Cemetery, at a later date.

She will be sorely missed by friends and family. Rest easy, Jean.
