Jean A. Mcpherson's Obituary
Jean A. McPherson, 95, of Superior, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
She was born January 11, 1920, in Superior, daughter of William and Martha (Borgen) Arseneau.
Jean was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught at a number of schools during her career, retiring with the Superior school system.
Her memberships included Concordia Lutheran Church and PEO.
Jean received great solace looking out over the lake while at her home in Lake Nebagamon. She enjoyed the comfort of a good book, playing Bridge, golfing, socializing, wintering in Arizona, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee in 2014; and sister, Ilene Arseneau.
Survivors include her daughters, Martha Reiser, Southport, NC, Nancy (Bill) Tess, Green Bay, WI, and Lucy (Dan) Nelson, S. Range, WI; son, Lee McPherson, New Richmond, WI; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Ann (Tom) Borich and Mary (Alan) Yoshimoto.
Private services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Gary Banker officiating.
