Jean M. Whereatt, 81, of Lake Nebagamon, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Jean was born in Superior the daughter of Tom and Elaine Wilson.
She had worked as a credit manager in JcPenney and Maurices. She enjoyed gardening, water skiing and traveling, especially to Hawaii. Jean was always serving people and there to lend a helping hand. She loved her family and was always there for her kids. They all knew they came first in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William K.; a son, David; and sisters, Gloria and Marilyn.
Jean is survived by her sons, Randy of Lake Nebagamon, Paul of Indianapolis, James (Wenda) of Lake Nebagamon, and William G. (Cheryl) of Superior; grandchildren, Tom, Heather, Kenny, Joshua, Jeremy, Jeff, C.J., Andy, Matt, Amber and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Taya, Aiden and Bella; a sister, Carol Jensen; and lifelong friends, Ron and Elsie Hicks.
Visitation will be on Thursday May 12, from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th Street and Ogden Ave. Rev. Joel Huenemann of United Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
