Jeanette M. Miner, 78, of Superior (formerly of Danbury/Webster), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her son Tony's home, surrounded by her family.
Jeanette was born on September 26, 1946, in Siren, WI, to Joy (Young) and Raymond Rixman. She married Richard (Dick) Miner on October 1, 1964, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2019.
A woman of many interests, Jeanette enjoyed crafts, knitting, painting, cooking, shopping, and visiting the casino. However, her greatest passion was her family, whom she cherished deeply and cared for devotedly.
Jeanette's work history included positions at Beaudry, a plastic fabrication company in Frederic, WI, the Salvation Army in Superior, St. Croix Casino in Danbury, and various other jobs throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick, her sister Esther, and her infant twin siblings Judy and Jerry, brothers-in-law Charles, Jack, Norman, and Warren Miner, as well as sisters-in-law Jean and Joyce.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Jerry (Stacey) Miner and Tom Miner, both of Superior, and Tony (Suzy) Miner of Danbury; her grandchildren Casey, Timika, Nathan, Marisa, and Corey; her great-grandchildren Harley, Colton, Zion, and Aryah; her brother Sam (Terri) Rixman of Danbury; her sister Bonnie Lehner of Superior; special nieces Candie and Mandie Rixman of Danbury and their children; sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) Colton of Poplar; and many nieces and nephews on the Miner side.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St., Superior, with Gary Banker officiating.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their kindness, support, and care during her final months.
