Jeffrey James Nolan, 69, of Dairyland, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.
Jeff was born in Superior on Dec. 19, 1940 the son of Opal (Melin) and Llewellyn Nolan.
He served in the Air Force for two years and was a member of the Steelworkers Union working for the Georgia Pacific Company in Duluth for 35years.
He married the former Doris Vicklund on August 10, 2001.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Margaret Hill Nolan; granddaughter, Kandy Rae; and brothers, Guy Nolan and Dennis Nolan.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Kristine (Ron) of Minneapolis, Minn., Eleanor (Gary) Jodell of St. Paul, Minn., Matt Nolan of Dairyland and Tim Hoyt of Superior; step-children, William (Paula) Hoglo of South Dakota, John (Diane) Hoglo of Florida and Sherral (Richard) Gomez of Texas; grandchildren, Jolene, Jamie, Stephanie, Casey and Jesse; three great-grandchildren; sister, Tayra (Don) Hammond of Superior; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral service will be held on Thurs. Aug. 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave with Rev. Robert Baranow as officiant. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be in River Hill Cemetery in Dairyland.
