Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Pohjonen, 56 of Proctor, MN passed away on Thursday May 5, 2022, at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth from complications of longtime Covid.

He was born on January 13, 1966, to Jerry and Camille (Hermanson) Pohjonen in Duluth, MN.  Jeff married Mary Rochon in Proctor, MN on March 8, 1991.

Jeff was recently employed at Jeff Foster Trucking as a driver for 18 years.  He took pride in his ability to problem solve, along with offering assistance to his co-workers.  Jeff enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling with his friends and wife.  His favorite area to visit was in Grand Marais, MN and up along the Gunflint Trail.  Jeff enjoyed spending time with friends and family at all gatherings.  Although he had a gruff exterior and tone of voice, he really was an extremely loving, caring, intelligent, and funny man.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry; and in-laws, Don and Bobbie Rochon.

Survivors include his wife, Mary and daughter, Erin (Kyle) Walsh.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 12 ^th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Visitation will resume on Friday May 13 ^th from Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
