Jenene M. (Hixenbaugh) Thompson, 39, of Superior died unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, 2015.

Jenene was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 16, 1975.

She was a 1993 graduate of Superior High School and had worked for over 10 years at Great Lakes Electric in Superior. She married Joseph Thompson on July 22, 2006.

Jenene was involved in gymnastics and cheerleading while in High School. She enjoyed traveling, camping, dancing and Zumba. She loved spending time with her friends and laughing. Most important to her was her family and her children.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Donald C. Roberts; maternal grandfather, Sandy Bernardo; and father-in-law, Bob Thompson.

Jenene is survived by her husband, Joseph of Foxboro; her father, Dennis (Kim) Roberts of Superior mother, Susan (Clancy) Roberts and mother-in-law, Carole Thompson of Foxboro; children, Tyler (Eileen) Thompson of Superior, Tabitha (Andy) Thompson of Plymouth, MN, Samantha (Blake) Loughren of Superior, and Shana Loughren and Sophia Hixenbaugh of Foxboro; and a granddaughter, Dakota Thompson. Her maternal grandmother, Jean Bernardo of Superior; paternal grandmother, Marie Roberts of Superior; brother, Michael Hixenbaugh of Superior; sister, Alisha (Justin) Prendergast of South Range; uncle, Santo Bernardo of Minneapolis and several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews; Amy Hoffman and many close friends; and her puppy, Jaxon.

Visitation will be held from Noon until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, April 3 at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Greg Gullicksrud, Interim Pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
