Jerry J. Pohjonen's Obituary
Jerry Jerome Pohjonen, 47 of Duluth, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at his residence.
Jerry was born in Duluth on Sept. 17, 1964 the son of Camille Schumacher and JerryA. Pohjonen.
He served his country in the US Army.
Jerry had driven truck for Monson Trucking and later owned and operated Pohjonen Trucking.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kalen; maternal grandparents, Harriet and James Bloxam; and paternal grandparents, Onnie and Vienna Pohjonen.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Camille (Gil) Schumacher of Superior; father, Jerry (Sharon) Pohjonen of Duluth; son, Jeremy Pohjonen; brother, Jeffery (Mary) Pohjonen of Proctor and their daughter Erin; and his aunt and uncle, Janice and John Spry and their children Vikki and John Spry, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Wed. Aug. 15th at 1:00 p.m. at the Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. David Schoessow of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
