Joann R. Liberty, 68, of Superior, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth.

She was born in Hayward, WI, on October 13, 1949, the daughter of Albert and Margaret Liberty.

Joann was a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.  She enjoyed going shopping. Most important to her was spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David Dickenson, and 10 brothers and sisters.

Joann is survived by her daughter, Tesha Dickenson; brother, Albert (Linda) Liberty; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Kaya, Raelynn, Elias, and Sawyer; boyfriend, Chuck; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Celebration of Life will be on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
