Joanne J. Hraban, 78, of Superior, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

Joanne was born on Mar. 6, 1938 the daughter of Mildred (Booth) and Orville Westerback.

She had worked as a waitress and cook for many restaurants in the area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; and 2 brothers.

Joanne is survived by her children, Doreen (John) Barcelona of Council Bluffs, IA, Wendy (Randy) Gallagher of Duluth, Jeffery Davis of Duluth, Leslie Hraban of Superior, Tami (Randy) Hraban of Superior, Terry (Jennifer) Hraban of Superior; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and many extended family members from her marriage to Louis; and a special friend, Clifford Nikka.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 16 ^th from Noon until the 1:00 p.m. memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19 ^th and Ogden Ave. Rev. Sarah Kerkes will officiate.
