SUPERIOR

Jody Lee Anderson, 44, of Superior, died Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital Hospice, Duluth.

He was born December 2, 1965 in Superior, son of James and Lois (Gilmore) Anderson.

Jody enjoyed fishing, golf, NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served aboard the USS Wisconsin.

While living in North Carolina, his work history included Carolina Container, CV Products (NASCAR), and he owned Anderson Tree Service.

Survivors include his daughter, Cody Leigh Anderson, Trinity, NC; parents, James "Sam" and Lois Anderson, Sr., Superior; brothers, James "Guppy" (Janet) Anderson, Superior, and Rickie Anderson, Superior; nieces, Angel (Kevin Homich) Anderson, Superior, and April (Chad) Benesch, Superior; nephew, Brian (Kelli) Anderson, Superior; 3 grand nephews and 2 grand nieces; special cousin, Dixielee Strom, Duluth; and special friends, Randy Waterhouse, Thomasville, NC and Dan VanPuymbrouck, Duluth.

The visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. Reverend Phillip Terrill will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Brian Anderson, Kevin Homich, Randy Waterhouse, Danny, Ryan and Eric VanPuymbrouck.

Interment will be at Veterans Memorial Park, Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, with military rites accorded by the combined Thomas F. Stein VFW Post # 1091 and the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post # 435.

Following the committal service, everyone is invited to a luncheon at the Superior Town Hall.
