Obituary

John "Jack" F. Kreminski, 78, of Superior, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Superior.

Jack was born on Aug. 5, 1933 in Duluth, Minn., the son of Frank and Sally Kreminski.

He graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1952 and then served his country in the Navy for 10 years and later served in the Air National Guard.

Jack was a Maintenance Specialist for the 148th Duluth Air National Guard for 13 years. Before that he was a Boilermaker Mechanic for Fraser Ship Yards and an oiler on the Pickens Mather Steamship. He had also worked for Goldfines as a salesman.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. Jack was also a skilled woodworker. He loved old cars, especially his Model T.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son, Bernard T. Chmieleski; and a niece, Sue and nephew Ricky Westman.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia; step-children, Debra (Dennis) Tyson of South Range, Colleen (Donald) Popoe of Superior, Tony Parks of Superior and Dan (Evie) Chmieleski of Blaine, Minn.; grandchildren, Don P. Popoe of Superior, Crystal Tyson of Duluth and Melissa (Brian) Shneider of Lacrosse, Wis.; step-grandchild Heather (Jason) Radzak; step-great-grandchildren, Hallie and Jyllian Radzak; a sister, Mary Ann Westman of Minneapolis; niece, Jane (Paul) Weiser and three great-nephews; and his good friend, Walter "Bud" Smith.

At his family's request all funeral services will be private.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Center for their wonderful care.
