Obituary

John J. Fryt, 71, of Superior, Wis. lost his three year battle with cancer on Thurs., May 1, 2014 in Essentia-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, Minn. where he passed peacefully in his sleep.

John was born December 29, 1942 in Milwaukee Wis. to Frances (Mezwinski) and Joseph Fryt.

He was a Civil Engineer Technician for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He was a very active member of Faith United Methodist Church, and co-founder of the church's food drive, the Gideon's, United Commercial Traveler's, Superior Moose Lodge No. 606, and the Promise Keeper's.  He was also a devote cheese head and a Jeff Gordon fan.

John is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-eight years, ReNae; his children, Tammy (Jim) Roeder of Waupan, Wis., Thomas Morschauser of Mass., David (Noelle) Parker of Duluth, Tania (Tim Formo) Forseth of LaPorte, Minn., and Robyn (Gordy) Bodin of Duluth; and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kenneth Morschauser.

His memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Certa-Werner officiating.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Ketchum and the health support staff at Essentia- St. Mary's.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
