John D. Grimstad, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Dove Health Care in Superior, WI.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Jeane (Beaudoin) and Roy Grimstad.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nanette (Granquist) Grimstad; his children, Michael (Heather) Grimstad, Melissa (Terry) Gondik, and Marcy (Douglas) Wojick; his grandchildren, Karrigan (Nate) Struckman, Kennedy Grimstad, Chad Gondik, Heidi Gondik, and Jazmine Wilkinson; three great grandchildren; his siblings, William (Julie) Grimstad, Susan (Terry) Martin, and Debi (Ken) Harmer.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St.; visitation will continue Thursday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center.

Placement of his remains will be in the columbarium at St. Francis Cemetery.
