John H. Williams, 74, of Shakopee, MN, died Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Mayo Clinic-St. Mary's in Rochester, MN.

John was born May 20, 1947, the son of Howard and E. Lorraine (Earhart) Williams. He married Laurie Gove on September 14, 1991.

He worked for CertainTeed for over 40 years and retired as the Safety Coordinator.

John loved being outdoors, especially camping, boating, and fishing. He also enjoyed dancing and playing cribbage.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Richard Williams; and sister, Theresa Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Gove-Williams of Shakopee; stepson, Zachary Gove of Altamonte Springs, FL; siblings, Donald (Cathy) Williams of Foxboro, Thomas (Bonnie) Williams of Foxboro, Gail (Howard) Rasmussen of Superior, Eva (Charlie) Baker of Grantsburg, WI, Warren Williams of Superior, and Angela (Randy) Scheunemann of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street, Superior. Burial will follow at Summit Cemetery in Foxboro, WI.

In keeping with the spirit of John's love of camping, casual dress attire is requested.
