John Lawrence Hawkins' Obituary
John Lawrence Hawkins, 62, of Superior, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Solvay Hospice House, Duluth.
He was born December 9, 1948 in Superior, son of Lawrence and Edna (Grenelle) Hawkins.
John served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971.
John enjoyed motorcycles, especially when he could drive them hill climbing.
His work history included many years as a welder and maintenance man at Kelly Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Lee; brother, James (Penelope) Hawkins, Florida; niece, Leslie (Steve) Dinauer, Colorado; nephew, Mark Hawkins, Cayman Islands; grand nephew, Jack; grand nieces, Tabitha and Bethany; and his special friend, Sandra Nelson, Superior.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospice, Duluth.
As per John's request, there will be no funeral services.
