John W. "Jackie" Miller 70 of 3317 N.th 21st St. died Monday August 10, 2009 in Superior.

Jackie was born December 20 1938 in Superior, and was a life long resident.

He attended and was employed by the Challenge Center.

Jackie loved living at Mackenzie Manor. He also loved to swim on Friday's and had participated in the Special Olympics, he also loved going to Burger King on Sundays and loved to sing. Also enjoyed getting together with family having Barbeques with Mama (Violet Lawler and David and Lori Bjerklien also with Aaron & Allyssa).

He is survived by brothers; Albert ( Roxanne) Miller of Superior, Dennis (Barbara) Miller of Tex.. James Miller of Superior, and sisters Carol (Jerry) Edlund of Apple Valley Mn. and Debra (Michael) See of Superior, A brother in law Richard Edlund, And many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Albert "Jim" Miller Sr., two sisters Isabelle "Budy" Edlund and Irene Edlund a nephew Thomas Edlund and a niece Lori Howell.

Visitation will be after 5:00 on Friday in the Downs Funeral Home on 19th & Ogden.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday in the Downs Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m with Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Martin, David Bjerklien, Richard Edlund, Gerald Edlund, and Michael See. Honary Pallbearers will be his friends from Mackenzie Manor.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Gold Cross Ambulance, the Superior Fire Dept, Officer Eric Flood and the staff at Younkers.

He was an angel on earth and is now an angel in heaven.
