John D. Kotter's Obituary
John D. Kotter, 77, lifelong Superior resident, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 after a lengthy illness at Essentia-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
John was born on December 22, 1938 the son of John and Helen Kotter.
He was a 1957 graduate of Superior Central High School. He retired from grounds maintenance at UW-Superior after 32 years.
John was a master at yard work and enjoyed it. He took great pride in his yard, garden and trees. He also enjoyed woodworking and his grand dogs. People would travel to bring their dogs to visit with John.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Constance 'Connie'; his children, Jamie (Jess) Kotter of Superior and Jodi (Jason) Komarek of Lake Nebagamon; granddaughter, Alesha Kotter of Superior; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Mitchell Koralia.
Following John's wishes, private services will be held. Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th and Ogden, is assisting the family with arrangements.
