It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Snowberg, Jr. of Foxboro, due to complications from surgery.

John was born to John and Marian Snowberg, Sr. on August 16, 1946 in Fergus Falls, MN. The family moved to Superior in 1958. In 1964 his family returned to MN and he remained in Superior, graduating from UW-Superior with a degree in accounting.   John was employed for over 30 years at the Wisconsin State Grain Commission before retiring as an accountant.

He married the love of his life Fannie Mae Carlson in Cloquet, MN on November 23, 1974 and recently celebrated their 50 year anniversary.

John was known for his humor, wit, and his quick answers to trivia.  He was an accomplished outdoorsman, be it fishing, duck hunting, canoeing, or wilderness camping.  He loved animals of all sorts, especially dogs.  He enjoyed travel including trips to Nevada.  John was always willing to help out friends or family. John was a big guy with a tender heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Fannie; his brother, Gene Snowberg of Borrego Springs, CA; his sister in-law, Diane (Brian) Fogelberg of Moose Lake, MN; his nephew, Kris Horner and his niece, Carina Fogelberg.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 3-5 pm at Downs Life Celebration Center.
