John Albert Wigren's Obituary
John Albert Wigren, 65, of Superior, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at his residence.
He was born January 18, 1949, in Superior, son of Raymond and Helen (Solmonson) Wigren.
John was a 1971 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Superior.
His interests included reading his Bible, collecting DVD's, watching old movies and viewing the ducks, deer and birds in the backyard.
John was a gentle soul, always smiling, greeting with hugs, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth and Donald; and sister, Eleanor.
Survivors include his sisters, Joanne (Scott) Emberson, Superior, John's twin, and Diane (Archie) Sales, Savage, Minnesota; nieces, Amanda and Alisa Sales, Savage; nephew, Christopher Sales, Savage; cousins, Duane Fredrickson, Superior, Sandi Olson, St. Paul, Roger (Shari) Olson, Bloomington, Minnesota, Scott (Beth Ann) Paulson, Superior, and Kathy (David) Upham, Port Charlotte, Florida; and longtime friend, Joseph Jolicouer.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Superior.
