Johnathan D. Parkins, 23, of Brule, WI, died unexpectedly in Jourdanton Texas.

Johnathan was born on Aug. 21, 1995 the son of Fred Parkins, Jr. and Jennifer (Johnson) Follis.

He graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 2013 and went on to earn his welding certificate from WITC.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing football. He also enjoyed snowboarding and skate boarding. He was very artistic with a creative mind. Johnny was a very kind person who involved everyone and looked out for others. He will be remembered for his outrageous sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Parkins, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Fred Parkins, Sr.; and grandfather Walter 'Buck' Follis.

Johnathan is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Keith Follis of Brule; maternal grandparents, Christopher and Sharon Johnson; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Parkins; grandmother, Shirley Follis; siblings, Samantha Parkins, Michael Parkins, Mary Koompin, Teresa (Scott) Simmons, Bryan (Andrea) Follis, and Brenna Follis; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 21, from 1:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Superior. Pastor Richard Blood will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Brule.
