Jon Marshall Haugen's Obituary
Jon M. Haugen, 68, of Superior, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at his residence.
He was born November 20, 1945 in Duluth, son of John and Carolyn (Kraft) Haugen.
Jon was a devout Christian man and proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.
His work history included Reserve Mining and truck driving.
He enjoyed fishing, trapping, reading, cooking and making fly fishing equipment.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Pam Mattila.
Survivors include his daughters, Pamelynn Degarmo, Hill City, MN, Shannon Kortus, Maplewood, MN, Lava Haugen, Superior, and Dina Altmann, Hoyt Lakes, MN; 10 grandchildren; brother, Danny Haugen, Oregon; and sister, Anita Cerio, Mesa, AZ.
Visitation will be from 1 until the 2 p.m. service, Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.
Military rites will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post # 435, immediately following the service at the funeral home.
