Jon E. Hurd, 58, of Superior, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Jon was born in Duluth on Oct. 15, 1961 the son of Donna (Moline) and Duane Hurd. He married Lisa Dalbec on September 26, 1998.

He worked at the Palace Bar for 30 years. Jon loved spending time at his cabin in Lake Nebagamon. He also enjoyed cooking and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jon is survived by his wife of 21 years Lisa; their dog, Sadie; mother-in-law Ruthie Dalbec; and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Tyler Dalbec, Mike Doherty, Mark Palmer, John Gault, Fran Stodola, and Bob Smith.
