Jon S. Koski, 84 of Superior, WI passed away with his family by his side Sunday, August 9, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Jon was born May 15, 1942, in Superior to Eleanor (Maki) and Sephard Koski.

He graduated from Northwestern High School and was employed as an engine oiler for the Interlake Steamship Company sailing the great lakes. Jon spent the majority of his career on the James R. Barker.

He enjoyed traveling by car to visit his family, typically he arrived unannounced for the visit. Jon was loyal to his family and loved to hang out with them whenever he was in town. He loved watching movie on VHS in his spare time and down time while working on the ships. Jon was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Koski and Jerome Koski.

Jon is survived by his sister, Judith Hoff and numerous nieces and nephews.

Upon Jon’s request there will be no services at this time. A burial will be held at a later date.
