Jon Daniel Pahos, 84 of Superior, WI passed away on May 28, 2021 after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis this past year.

Jon was born May 27, 1937 in Markville, MN to Paul and Eva Pahos. He graduated from Sandstone, MN High-school in 1955. Jon married Judy Heffner, his wife of 61 years on July 4th, 1959 in Ashland, WI. Living many years in Superior, WI the couple had three wonderful sons Scott, Greg & Brian and a daughter, Susan.

After 39 years of dedicated service, Jon retired from WI Bell Telephone in November of 1994. During that time he also served as Secretary Treasurer of the Communications Workers of America and was the spokesman for the Telephone Pioneers. He enjoyed the many yearly picnics he organized and attended in his post retirement years re-connecting with many good friends he made over his career.

A humble man with a big heart Jon was quick with a "dad" joke and was always ready and willing to provide service and support whenever and wherever he could. He enjoyed family and friendships while camping, hunting, fishing, bowling & golfing. He volunteered with Cub and Boy Scouts, coached youth baseball, served on the Board of Trustees at Christ Lutheran Church and could be seen supporting his kids and grandkids at the many sporting events, concerts and plays they participated in. Jon also served as Trustee for the Village of Superior. In retirement he enjoyed driving bus for Family Forum – HeadStart and supporting the many activities of his grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Paul and Eva Pahos, his sister Connie (Pahos) Anderson and brothers Paul and James Pahos.

Jon is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Pahos; sons Scott (Darcie), Greg (Jeri) & Brian (Ginger) Pahos; daughter Susan (Rob) Isackson; his sister-in-law Jenny Heffner; grandchildren Jonathan Pahos, Jacob Willis, Amber (Andy) Bona, Alanna Pahos, Morgan Pahos, Alyssa & Rachel Isackson; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Cody & Tanner Pahos and Caleb & Brooke Bona along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and special long time friends.

There will be a graveside service at 1pm CST, Thursday, June 17th at the Greenwood Cemetery, Superior with Pastor Kirk Shield officiating. There will be time for shared memories following the service from 2pm to 4pm at the Shamrock Pizza in Superior, WI.
