Obituary

Joseph Raymond "Bud" Doucette, 83 of Superior, WI died peacefully on December 22, 2010.

Born January 7, 1927 to Joseph & Mary Doucette. Bud Doucette was a long time resident of Superior.

He served in the Air Force from 1945 until 1951 and was united in marriage to Mae Thompson on September 11, 1954.

Bud's work history included many types of jobs as he had "happy feet" and never wanted to stay in one place for very long. He owned and operated two service stations and two taverns in Superior. He also worked on various construction projects and before retiring in 1984 from Upper Lakes Foods.

He was a long time member of Nemadji Golf Course and the Superior Curling Club. He was an avid sports fan. He sponsored softball teams as the owner of the Sports Page Bar. He also enjoyed watching his two sons throughout their high school and college baseball and basketball careers. He continued his love for sports by watching his grandchildren play basketball at all levels.

He was preceded in death by his brother Bill, his parents and his grandson John.

He will be remembered with love by his wife Mae of 56 years, his children Bill Doucette of Logan Ut. Julie (Tim) Johnson of Hutchinson Mn, Joe (Tracy) Doucette of Colfax Wi. Lisa (Larry) Doucette-Gregson of Niagra on the Lake Ont., his sisters, Audrey and Elaine, his grandchildren, Stacie, Paul, Courtney, Samantha, Chad, Kristina & Mallie, and many nieces and nephews, especially Don Little of Superior.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday December 24 at Downs Funeral Home followed by a public reception and celebration of his life at Ace's Lounge on 29th Street from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm.
