Joseph Victor Scaccia, 78 of Brule, WI died suddenly at his home on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Joe was born February 18, 1945 in St. Louis Missouri.
He was a proud graduate 1963 and alumni of the Marmion Military Academy in Aurora, IL. Joe was a
highly decorated US army captain of the Vietnam War. He was a paratrooper and Ranger. He was a
company commander of the 2nd Company of the 503rd Battalion, 173rd Airborne brigade. Joe will be
remembered as a proud soldier and passionate American.
He was a true Chicago "Cubs" fan and enjoyed watching every game this past season and witnessed the
World Series win in 2016.
Joe was the owner/operator of the Round Up Saloon in Hillside, IL until it closed in 1999, at that time he
moved to Brule and opened the Round Up North in Brule and operated the restaurant from 2000-2022.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother and two special aunts, Celeste, and Marie.
Joe is survived by his wife, Linda; his sons, Rich Retelny and Tony Retelny; his grandchildren, Shaun,
Rickey, Cassandra, and Gino Retelny; his brothers, Del Scaccia and Ronnie Scaccia.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
